What if you could repair anvils that had been damaged?
To repair anvil, you put damaged anvil in the center and surround information technology with Iron Ingots. 8 iron ingots are needed to repair.
If yous put Very Damaged Anvil and surround information technology with iron ingots, you get Slightly Damaged Anvil.
If y'all put Slightly Damaged Anvil and environment it with iron ingots, you get normal Anvil.
Why is it useful? It can help to save few atomic number 26 ingots. Anvils cost a full of 31 iron ingots to make. Since repairing costs 8 atomic number 26 ingots, information technology tin save yous some iron ingots by repairing anvils instead of crafting new anvils to replace destroyed anvil.

viii fe ingots are fairly a pocket-sized price to pay to repair anvils. It takes 16 fe ingots to repair a Very Damaged Anvil to normal undamaged Anvil. Which is half the price to arts and crafts Anvil.

I think crafting should stick to the attribute of creating an item, not increasing durability.

I similar the thought. Likewise many a fourth dimension have I come across my damaged anvils, and I similar the idea of finally being able to repair it.
